crazy rich asians by kevin kwan

Crazy Rich Asians follows the main character Rachel Chu as she meets her boyfriend Nicholas' family in Singapore. Little does she know, Nicholas belongs to an elite, super-rich Chinese family with private planes, high fashion and estates so large they are hidden from navigation systems.

The book is set in a way that each chapter is based around a different point of view from both Rachel or Nicholas' family members, telling their individual stories and ultimately focusing on the main romance plot in the novel. This is quickly becoming my favourite novel layout, and I am at awe of any author who can pull it off. Because there are so many characters, I thought it might be difficult to keep up with the different plot lines, but Kevin Kwan manages to make it work, and it was a book I really could not put down.

Witty, funny, romantic and left me with a very large book-hangover...I haven't met a person who has read this book and didn't enjoy it!
