Heidegger and a Hippo Walk Through Those Pearly Gates by daniel klein & thomas cathcart

Exploring “life, death, the afterlife and everything in between”, Heidegger and a Hippo Walk Through Those Pearly Gates examines different philosophers’ views on death and the reason we are here, touching on elements of the soul and immortality.

A comedic introduction to this area of philosophy, the book is incredibly easy to follow and full of humorous examples and comic illustrations to aid the learning process.

While the jokes can indeed get a bit tedious (there are so many!), the book is still really educational and I found myself learning a lot of new facts, thinking critically and underlining many paragraphs.

A strange combination of comedy, philosophy and death...it worked, and I recommend.
