illuminae by amie kaufman & jay kristoff

One of the coolest books I have ever read, Illuminae is the story of main characters Kady and Ezra, and a battle of space fleets space in 2575 told through a compilation of files. The best way to describe it is a sci-fi, interactive mystery with a young adult feel.

The only fault was that here were so many side characters that I struggled to keep track of, but this didn't effect the overall thrill of the book too much.

Definitely buy a hard copy as the decoration of the pages inside add to the drama - something that would not be as effective in an e-book.

Highly recommended as a quirky, unconventional sci-fi read!
