little tales of misogyny by patricia highsmith

"His friends congratulated him, but politely, and in the abstract. They couldn't exactly say, 'Thank God, you're rid of that bitch,' but they said the next thing to it."

This was a wacky little read and not at all for the faint-hearted. Sadistic, satirical and sarcastic, Little Tales of Misogyny is made up of short stories of wicked women from housewives to strippers, and their path of self-destruction.

You will need to have a pretty dark sense of humour to enjoy this read, which I do indeed. Just like the review on the front cover says, this book deserves more of a cackle than a giggle. Little Tales of Misogyny was truly messed up, but I loved it, and I can't wait to read more works by Patricia Highsmith.
