Look Me In The Eye is an autobiography by John Elder Robison on his experiences growing up and living with Asperger's syndrome. Robison is quite fascinating, as despite is mental illness, he managed to build quite a successful career as an engineering, most famous for his invention of KISS's Flaming Guitar.
While the book was slow in some parts, it did provide a really important view into the mind of someone struggling with Asperger's. His recounts of his thought processes as a child in school, especially, have stayed with me, and I feel like I have a much better understanding of the illness as a result.
