The Book Ninja by Ali Berg & Michelle Kalus

My heart has been left warm and I simply loved this read.
I was hesitant to purchase this book as chick-lit and romance novels are usually the lowest on my priority list, however I was lucky enough to receive a copy from Simon and Schuster and am so glad I did.
Much more than just a romance story, The Book Ninja has been written by booklovers about booklovers and for booklovers, making it the perfect read to indulge in and nerd-out to.
The book follows the main character Frankie, as she sets off to find the love of her life by becoming a self-proclaimed ‘book ninja’, which involves leaving her favourite reads around public transport with a note or potential dates to contact her if they also enjoyed the book. Alongside her project, Frankie meets an unexpected suitor, and the rest you will just have to read...
A bookworm’s dream, I was pleasantly surprised from the first chapter, right through to the end of the book. Ali Berg and Michelle Kalus are excellent writers. They made me feel like I was back in Melbourne and a part of the characters’ lives. Frankie’s blog posts intertwined with the plot seamlessly, and the little accents of side stories and playful characters only added another layer to enjoy.
An incredibly witty, feel-good read, I highly recommend The Book Ninja and look forward to what is to come from this talented duo.
