It is always hard to review a memoir, especially one as heartbreaking and personal as Carole Radziwill's 'What Remains', so I will keep this short.
Carole Radziwill is a journalist, author and star of The Real Housewives of New York City, and was married to Anthony Radziwill, Polish Prince and cousin to John F. Kennedy Jr.. Carole was waiting for John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette when their plane crashed over Martha's Vineyard, and she was the one who put out the call that they were missing. Just a few weeks after losing two of her best friends, she also lost her husband to cancer.
Radziwill's writing is so beautiful and whimsical, that for 260 pages you really feel like you are a part of her world, enjoying each celebration and taking each hit. This book really portrays the human strength, and our ability to get through the most unimaginable tragedy.
It was incredible, and everyone should read it.
